The Fusital H368 Duemilanove series has been designed by Franco Poli.
Franco Poli Born in 1950.
In 1969 he began his studies at the Faculty of Architecture of Venice I.U.A.V.. In 1971 he attended the U.I.A of Venice where he met Richard Fuller and Isamu Noguchi. Since 1977 collaborates with the Bernini s.p.a. of which he became artistic director in 1979, contributing
to the catalog and image until 2009. In 1986 he was called by Franco Moschini for the creation of the aircraft division of Poltrona Frau and a “bed system” of high-tech. In the same year he opened a studio in Venice and collaborates as a guest trainer with the U.I.A. of Florence, the C.N.R. and the Politecnico of Milan, in 1989 he was asked to teach the Design course in the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, a position from which he will resign in 1996. In the nineties, he passionately takes care of the community of Design in Italy and founded several associations of Design, among which the CNAD of Rome and a school of Transnational Mediterranean Design in Reggio Calabria.
From 1988 to 2010 he held a series of conferences and meetings on Design in S. Paulo , Quito , Tokyo, Los Angeles , Mexico City, Miami and New York. Since 1995, his “Flying Chair” is in the permanent collection of the “ Denver Art Museum “, then numerous creations will
be acquired by the “ Fonds National d’Art Contemporain “ in Paris, the “ Magma Museum” in Roccamonfina, the collection “ Farnesina Design “ of Rome and by the Triennale Museum in Milan. In 2007 he won the “ DesignX , Australian Design Award.”
In 2005 and 2007 he received the Good Design Award of the Chicago Atenaeum . In 2008 he took an Honorable Mention at the XXI Compasso d’Oro for the collection LOOM chair. From 2007 to 2010 furnishes the reception areas Le Bombarde, the Bookshop and Caffè Italia at the Biennale of Art and Architecture Biennale in Venice.
Franco Poli lives and works in Verona.
